Ayurveda gaining Prominence during Covid Pandemic Time

Anandaiah Ayurvedic medicine despite not being official reached almost majority families in Andhra Pradesh distributed by NGOs, ministers and corporators but not officially. These medicines were made available along with vaccines. Several Ashrams also distributed the medicine. Hampi Pampakshetra Bhaktinagarasamraj Mutt distributed in bellary and koppal districts as well.
The medicine reached maharashtra too but not officially by government but concerned Ngos distributed it. Despite the medicine being cleared by Ayush department citing harmless ingredients and daily regular use items, this did not achieve any official recognition. At one time, TTD said that it will be producing those medicines but no effort went towards that end. AP High court already allowed distribution of those medicines.
Based on Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science findings ,the State government permitted the usage of the medicine on COVID Patients. Eyedrops however were kept on hold. The ingredients used in the medicine honey, pepper, green camphor, nutmeg, black cumin, cinnamon & other herbs were not harmful and were already being used in several ayurvedic medicine already. The government did not allow people to come to Nellore but allowed them to order the medicine. Ayush department studied the aftereffects on many hundreds of people who took the medicine and did not find any complaints or sideeffects. Hence they suggested to take it as a immunity booster medicine.
Bonigi Anandaiah's cure propelled exponentially the sales of other Ayurvedic medicine, especially immunity boosters. Respiratory drops which opened closed noses had huge demand run especially since they were projected to be stopping covid from spreading. The rumour mill spread several stories via the Whatsapp University and suddenly Ayurveda became popular till of course vaccines came into common usage and all started using them. Not just in Andhra pradesh, neighbouring southern states also saw people rushing to Ayurvedic doctors. Ayurvedic doctors who ran post recovery camps were in huge demand since no allopathic medicine were used and post recovery was through nutritious food, yoga and ayurvedic medicines.
Ayurveda still needs a huge gap up in India just like Organic Farming does. A Son of the Soil at the helm hopefully can churn wonders. Capitalists promoted leaders pander to only capitalists needs not the common man's needs.
