Lalitha Saktipeeth is the place where Lalitha Sahasranamam was first chanted, Naimisaranya is where all 18 Puranas were writtenand narrated. In Naimisaranya, there is Vyas Gaddi and Suta Gaddi.
Per Legends, Lalitha Devi was requested by Brahma to stop the water flow coming out of earth at Chakra kund. Goddess Lalitha stopped the flow assuming the form of Lingadharini matha. This temple seems to have been visited by Adi Shankaracharya who chanted "Lalita Panchakam" here. The temple is miraculous and many still today keep reading the Lalitha Sahasranamam here.
